BlueStacks Runs Android Apps On Windows PCs
BlueStacks is a small company backed by Ignition Ventures, Radar Partners, Helion Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Andreessen Horowitz. BlueStacks recently scored a $7.6 million Series A financing round from these companies based on its new software, which ports Android applications over to any x86 device running Windows.

Opera Mini 6 now available on iOS
Opera Mini 6 browser for iOS is now available to download for free from the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad. It features up to 90% compression of data traffic to increase speed and decrease data cost, as well as adaptable views for iPhone and iPad enviroments.

Firefox 5 beta arrives for desktop and Android
Mozilla has announced the availability of the first Firefox 5 beta release for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and Android. The new desktop version includes a built-in release channel switcher and support for CSS animations. The new mobile version introduces support for the Do Not Track header and a number of other improvements.
